We are thrilled to announce that our organization has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Bell Let’s Talk initiative. This generous funding will be used to enhance our training for staff so that they can support students in their mental health and suicide intervention.

At the heart of this initiative is our commitment to building a school environment and community where mental health is prioritized, understood, and supported. With this grant, we will provide specialized training in mental health awareness and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) to staff so that they can better be prepared to support students. These programs are designed to equip our staff with the tools and knowledge they need to recognize and respond to mental health challenges effectively.

Why This Matters

Mental health is a critical component of overall well-being, yet it often doesn’t receive the attention it deserves. By investing in mental health education and resources, we aim to break down stigma and ensure that our students are supported.
