The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation, in partnership with the Quantum Project, is hosting its annual Prom Project Event this Friday! Prom Project will provide Hastings and Prince Edward counties students with the opportunity to select formal wear, free of charge, to attend their formals and/or graduation ceremonies. Prom Project will commemorate the achievements of students who have overcome adversity, and help them celebrate in style.
Through donations collected from caring community members and generous sponsors Prom Project is made possible. Prom Project builds on what’s currently provided through The Learning Foundation’s Student Emergency Fund. The objective of the Student Emergency Fund is to give immediate assistance to Students, and perhaps their families, by providing financial aid and/or gift-in-kind support. This funding could be used to purchase items such as eyeglasses,EpiPens, medical supplies, food and clothing, transportation, to subsidize field trips, or to assist with additional financial needs that result from family crises (fire, flood, layoffs, illness, etc)
We are inviting all students and parents in Hastings and Prince Edward counties to join us, Friday April 13th 2018 from 10-4pm at Prom Project to find the perfect outfit free of charge! Snacks, make up, shoes, formal wear including suits separates, dresses and much more! As well as a generous donation of suits from Montreal Canadien #65 Andrew Shaw will be available.
